FRANG – Frang starting beating on things at a young age and has continued his fascination with percussion into his role on the bodhran and percussion with Smithfield Fair.  Not "just the drummer", Frang's unusual take on rhythms plays a strong part in the band's arrangements.  A former member of garage rock bands and bagpipe and drum bands, Frang has served as a clinician for bodhran workshops and is known for his particularly muscular style of drumming, which is adapted for Smithfield Fair's style.  Having pursued an education in scriptwriting, he now enjoys the company of other drummers, a pint or two of Guinness, and the occasional game of darts.
